Creating a template

Quickly make a new template from scratch or an existing project

This tutorial shows screenshots from a previous version of Rotato, so they might look slightly different on your Mac. We will be posting an updated tutorial shortly!

From scratch

This is as simple as saving a Rotato file, only this time you will choose Rotato Template as the type of document.

  1. Create a new Rotato project
  2. Design your mockup scene and animations
  3. Go to File > Save > Choose Rotato Template in the drop-down

From a Rotato document file

You can convert any Rotato project file to a template.

  1. Open the Rotato project file in Rotato
  2. Go to File > Duplicate > Save > Choose Rotato Template in the drop-down

Open a Rotato document as a template

This is a great way to make sure you don’t change the original document

  1. In Rotato, go to File > New From Template > Open Rotato File As Template..
