Find your way around the timeline
Understand which track owns each part of the movie.
The timeline separates the things you can change, so a screen recording does not have to share the timing of a camera move.
Scene tracks
Camera changes the view of the scene. Focus Blur controls focus changes. Text, image, and audio tracks place content at particular times.
Device tracks
Device groups sit below the scene tracks, including image, text, and audio. Expand a device's group to find Movement, Screen, and any supported lid, fold, or scroll tracks. Each device owns its own tracks.
Two kinds of timing
Camera, device movement, and articulation hold their last state between animation blocks. Text and image overlays have a lifespan and are absent outside it.
The playhead shows the scene at a particular time. Click a block's edge diamond before editing that endpoint; the playhead jumps to it. Moving the playhead away clears the keyframe selection.
Adding a Fold or Lid animation keeps the current angle at both ends. Click an endpoint and change the angle to create the motion yourself.
Start with camera animation, then try independent device animation.
