Export a PNG image with a transparent background

Export a still with an alpha channel so you can place the device over your own background.

Make a transparent snapshot

1. Set Background to Transparent in the scene controls.
2. Move the playhead to the frame you want to save.
3. Click Image in the toolbar. In the Save dialog, choose PNG, enter a name, and click Save.
4. Save the image and place it over a colored background in your destination app.

The empty areas should show the color underneath. A viewer that draws a white or black background behind transparent images can make the file look opaque even when it has alpha.

If you still see an unwanted background, check for an image overlay or other visible object covering the canvas.
