Rendering an animation as a PNG sequence
Export each frame as a full resolution PNG image file, also works with transparency
This tutorial shows screenshots from a previous version of Rotato, so they might look slightly different on your Mac. We will be posting an updated tutorial shortly!
Read more about transparency in our guide to transparency.
How to do it
- Prepare your movie with keyframes in Rotato
- Click Render Movie in the toolbar
- In the rendering dialog, choose PNG Sequence
- Click Choose Destination to show Rotato where to save the PNG files
Rotato will now render one PNG image file per frame for your 3D animation. You can import your PNG sequence in a video editing package like Adobe After Effects or Final Cut Pro and virtually any professional video package.
