Give animation properties different timing
Let position, rotation, or another property settle at a different time.
Property timing lets parts of a movement have different pacing within the animation.
Inspect the animation
- Select the animation block you want to refine.
- Expand its property tracks where available.
- Adjust the timing for the property you want to change.
- Scrub through the move to see how it combines with the other properties.
For example, a device can finish turning while its position is still settling. Begin with a simple move so the effect of each timing change is clear.
Keep the ending deliberate
Inspect the complete animation and the hold after it. If the result becomes hard to follow, return the property timing to the full span and add one timing change at a time.
