Animate a title between keyframes

Control the position and appearance of a 2D overlay over time.

Use internal keyframes when you need more control than a preset gives you.

Add a change inside the title

  1. Select a text overlay and move the playhead inside its visible block.
  2. Use Add Text Keyframe in the timeline gutter.
  3. Click the keyframe you want to edit.
  4. Change the overlay's position or another animatable property in the inspector.
  5. Scrub through the change to check the movement.

Separate motion from visibility

The outer block decides when the overlay exists. Internal keyframes decide how it changes while visible. Extending a movement does not automatically make an overlay visible beyond its block.

Select the intended keyframe before refining an endpoint. Use Undo to compare changes while experimenting.
