Create and render mockups with the Rotato CLI

Automate repeatable mockup work and give an AI agent access to Rotato.

The Rotato CLI lets you inspect projects, compose animation, capture frames, and render output from Terminal or a compatible AI agent.

Start with the installed instructions

Install the CLI from the app, then run:

rotato --version
rotato --help
rotato skill show

The skill and help bundled with your installed build describe its supported commands. Use those instructions when writing automation, because the command schema can change.

Work from a saved project

Keep your original .rotato file. Write generated projects and rendered output to new paths. Inspect the starting project before changing it, then capture a few frames to check screen content and composition before rendering a movie.

Let an agent check its work

Ask the agent to use the installed Rotato skill, render a small preview, and inspect the output. Ask for the editable project along with the final movie so you can continue in Rotato.

If the launcher points to a removed app build, reinstall the CLI from the app you intend to use.
