Duplicate and align text or images

Duplicate an overlay when the next title or image should share its styling.

Make a copy

1. Select the text or image overlay.
2. Click Duplicate Overlay in the inspector, or Option-drag it on the canvas to create a copy.
3. Edit the copied text or image.
4. Move the copy to its intended position. Use the Position x and y fields for exact placement.

Align and time it

Watch for center and edge snapping guides while moving overlays. Use the timeline to separate the copies in time when they should appear one after another.

Check the full canvas with selection controls out of the way before exporting. Matching alignment is most useful when the spacing is also comfortable at the final video size.
